Founded in 2007 , Agni consists of professional dancers, aspiring artistes, dance instructors, production assistants and a management team united by a common love of dance and creative expression. Every member of Agni brings a different talent, skill level and flavor to the group. This versatile blend of performers with experience in varied styles like Bollywood , Indian Classical, Hip-Hop, and folk help expand the group's performance horizons and presentation techniques.

One of Agni's primary goals is to provide quality Indian , Bollywood dance education in various locations in Texas including Austin , San Antonio , Dallas and Houston through classes conducted by experienced and renowned instructors. Their professional specialty is that they interact directly with clients, and strive to put together unique performances that are tailored to fit the occasion and the audience. Agni is passionate about worthy causes, and working with non-profit organizations to help raise funds.

Agni is the Sanskrit word for fire, the elemental phenomenon that is all consuming, raw energy. The dance ensemble draws metaphorical comparisons to the element with the passion and energy they bring to each of their performances.
